Education, Activism, and New Media
U.S. Rep. Darrell Issa tweeted a link this morning to this video, a compelling story of the success of education choice in the District of Columbia and the unfathomable decision to terminate it.
There’s also a link to a Washington Post editorial on the Reason site, which is particularly well done. The potential power of quality Internet video to effectively convey messages is tough to overstate, and isn’t sector-specific. Processing structured data to makeĀ image messages more compelling and to publicize those messages promises better decision making from finance to education to consumption. It’s worth watching whether this video is successful in changiing the policy it publicizes, although it doesn’t seem that the Drew Carey Project has yet enjoyed the attention it merits.
